"Quick News - Football Team #7"
From
Fan to Fat?
Researchers found out that when fans watch «their favorite football
team loses lead them to consume less healthy food. These effects are
greater in cities with the most committed fans, when the opponents are more
evenly matched, and when the defeats are narrow. However, these unhealthy
consequences of vicarious defeats disappear when supporters spontaneously
self-affirm or are given the opportunity to do so.” (Psychological Science).

"Quick News #7"
People
don’t use Facebook to share the sadness of their lives, but the happiness and all the positive things.
Researchers thinks that the more people browse through their feeds, comments and like, the more likely they are
to feel unhappy.
“Given
the public nature of these sites, people end up reporting a lot of the positive
things going on in their lives, and a user of Facebook might end up with a
biased impression of other people’s lives,” said Oscar Ybarra, a psychologist
at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. “So, they might feel sub-par compared
to their friends and all the wonderful things their friends are doing.” (Discovery News).
